Lucky night in B.C. as someone in Chilliwack won $8 million

Someone in Chilliwack is $8 million richer today, whether they know it yet or not.

The Lotto 6/49 draw last night had just one winning ticket with all six numbers and it was bought in Chilliwack, according to the B.C. Lotteries Corporation, in a release today, March 10. While the holder of that ticket isn't known yet, two others from B.C. will also collect hefty prizes.

Someone in Victoria bought a ticket worth $500,000 and someone from New Westminster is holding a ticket worth $100,774.

The odds of winning a Lotto 6/49 jackpot are one in 13,983,816. Prize winners have one year to claim their prize.
