KAMLOOPS – After 15 complaints of extremely loud music and house parties, 3 tickets for loud noise, and a general disregard for their surrounding neighbours, the RCMP ‘took the initiative,’ according to a media release.

Police executed a search warrant at a house on Westmount Drive in Kamloops on Saturday and seized a $4,000 stereo system.

The noise complaints had been coming in for a month. Kamloops bylaw officers had been to the home 3 times to issue tickets.

The two men renting the house told officers they were being evicted.

RCMP say the pair was very open about not caring about the police and bylaw officers showing up at their door.

The police are recommending to crown counsel the two men be charged with mischief.
