RCMP investigating suspected homicide in Lillooet

The RCMP is investigating a suspected homicide in Lillooet.

Police received a report March 15 of a man suffering from injuries in the 600 block of Main St, Lillooet.

Upon arrival, they found a man suffering from serious injuries already being treated by B.C. Ambulance. The man was transported to the Lillooet hospital where he later died.

The victim’s family have been notified but the RCMP is not releasing the man's name, said Sgt. Chris Manseau, with the RCMP, in a press release.

The event is being investigated as a homicide but police believe it was an isolated incident and there is no additional risk to the public.
