BIG WHITE – Over 100 delegates from 13 countries have arrived at the Big White Ski Resort for the 2014 Federation Internationale des Patrouilles de Ski conference.
The Canadian Ski Patrol is the host organization for the congress.
The event opened Sunday with a flag ceremony.
It’s only the second time the FIPS has been hosted at a North American resort.
The conference will cover topics from avalanche awareness to advances in first aid and search and rescue.
The week long event also includes a trade show at the Village Centre Mall. It’s open to the public.
