Rock the Lake returns to Prospera Place in Kelowna

After a two-year COVID-induced hiatus, Kelowna’s Rock the Lake classic rock music festival returns to the parking lot of Prospera Place Aug. 5 to 7.

Performers include A Flock of Seagulls, The Tea Party, Brian Wilson with Al Jardine, Moist, Trooper, Eve 6, Chilliwack, Bif Naked, Carole Pope and Rough Trade, The Spoons, Grapes of Wrath and The Kings.

“We are overjoyed to be able to bring back the beloved and highly anticipated Rock The Lake Music Festival this summer,” GSL group president and CEO, Graham Lee said in a news release. “Each edition of the festival has been special and memorable. We look forward to delivering the same quality of show this upcoming season to a region that has been craving this type of event for months.”

The interior of Prospera Place will be open with concession stands and a licenced restaurant. Food trucks and drinks will be available on the festival grounds and people can bring in their own lawn chairs.

This is an all ages event.

Details on ticket sales will be announced on May 12 and start going on sale on Friday, May 13 at 10 a.m. Passes can be purchased through selectyourtickets.com or by calling 1-866-514-5050.

All previously purchased passes will be honoured and automatically transferred to the 2022 festival, the news release says.

GSL Group is partnering with One Tree Planted and will plant one tree for every ticket sold “in an effort to help restore the forests that have been damaged by recent forest fires and natural disasters,” the news release says.
