KAMLOOPS — Early Friday morning fire crews were called to an active structure fire on Collingwood Drive.
Kamloops Fire Crews called the RCMP just after 3 a.m. to assist at a fire that had engulfed the house at 578 Collingwood Dr. By that point the house was fully engulfed and fire crews were still fighting the blaze. The fire has since been extinguished.
An initial investigation shows the house was under renovation and the fire does not appear to be suspicious at this time. A fire inspector will be on scene this morning to conduct a more thorough inspection.
