Kamloops Fire Rescue crews are on the scene of an ammonia leak in the Mount Paul Industrial Park.
The leak happened at 790 Sarcee Street East in industrial park, according to a City of Kamloops tweet, and a hazmat team is on the scene.
There are unconfirmed reports someone was taken to hospital.
Carrier Street and Sarcee Street (east and west) are currently closed to traffic.
The city is asking the public to avoid the area and says updates will be posted to social media as they become available.
