Update: Body found near river identified

KAMLOOPS – Foul play has been ruled out in the sudden death of a man whose body was found early Saturday morning on the Shubert Drive bike trail.

Glenn William Stecyk, 56, of no fixed address was found by a passerby at 12:30 a.m. The body was under a tarp at a makeshift camp near Fort Avenue by the Thompson River. Stecyk was unresponsive and could not be resuscitated.

The B.C. Coroners Service and RCMP are still investigating Stecyk's death.
