Drunk man hit by car on Halston Connector

KAMLOOPS – A 38-year-old man is in Royal Inland Hospital in critical condition with severe head injuries after he was hit by a car on the Halston Connector early Sunday morning.

“It is believed the pedestrian was intoxicated while walking east bound over the Halston bridge,” Staff Sgt. Lane Jumaga says in a media release.

The man was walking in the travel portion of the road.

The RCMP say they were getting calls about a man walking in the middle of the street just before the accident.

Police say a traffic analyst is helping with the investigation.
