iN VIDEO: Bear chases moose, calves on Interior logging road
A Prince George man said he was shocked when he witnessed an unusual interaction between a moose, her calves and a black bear earlier this week.
Ethan Fell, who works in the forestry sector, was driving with a co-worker along a logging road above Mabel Lake, in the southern Interior, when he saw a mother moose and her calves being chased by a bear, June 8.

“After the video ends, we pulled up and blocked the bear from keeping up the chase and my coworker Ben said something along the lines of ‘Hey, hey you, move on and eat some grass, you'll be fine’ and my reaction was that you don't see something like that unless Sir David Attenborough is narrating it,” he said.
Attenborough, and English broadcaster and biologist, is best known for his roles in narrating the BBC's Life.
While they see wildlife often while working in the forest, this was the first time Fell saw a predator, prey interaction and managed to get it on video as his colleague drove the vehicle.
“I couldn't believe my eyes, (it was) definitely one of the coolest things I've ever seen,” he said.
