TRENDING NOW: Meet the man who survived the kitten ambush

Robert Brantley was driving along a Tennessee back road when he spotted a defenceless kitten in the ditch.

He stopped to rescue the tiny feline only to watch as 12 more kittens emerged from the same ditch.

Presuming they had been abandoned and left to fend for themselves, the kind hearted 37-year-old gathered them all up and put them in his vehicle.

Well that original video of the cat swarm blew up on social media.

Here's the followup. Turns out the kitties needed a bath.

Brantley has been overwhelmed with offers from people willing to adopt the adorable kittens.

If you missed the first video here it is, and be prepared for more cuteness overload.
