
New home on horizon for Kamloops lottery winner
Kimberly Penzkofer checked her ticket several times before she could believe she just won $500,000.
“I never thought it could happen,” she said in a B.C. Lottery Corporation news release. “I had to scan it on the app a few times."
The Kamloops resident just got home from a shopping trip when she checked her lottery ticket.

“I checked the ticket while sitting in my truck and when I went inside my mom asked me what was wrong,” she said. "She cried!"
Penzkofer bought the Lotto Max ticket at the 8 Street Chevron and won the May 27 Maxmillions draw.
She's splitting a $1 million prize with another winner who purchased a ticket in Delta.
