B.C. search and rescue team looking for one of their own missing members

A B.C. search and rescue team is hoping to find one of their own members who went missing earlier this week.

The Pemberton RCMP is asking for the public's help to find Toby Salin, who has been missing since June 16, according to the B.C. RCMP's press release.

Salin was last seen in Pemberton at around 9 a.m.

His truck, a 2021 Black Chevrolet Crewcab was later located off West Lillooet Lake Road around the In-SHUCK-ch Forest Service Road, southeast of Pemberton.

A complete search of the area was conducted with Pemberton Search and Rescue, RCMP Air Services, Lower Mainland Emergency Response Team, Pemberton RCMP, Stl'atl'imx Tribal Police, local residents, and RCMP Integrated Police Dog Services with no sign of Salin.

"We are mobilizing teams to search for one of our own SAR members. Please keep Toby and his family in your thoughts and prayers," according to the B.C. Search and Rescue Association's Twitter page.

He is described as: Caucasian, 51-years-old, five-foot-nine, weighs 200 pounds with blonde short hair and blue eyes.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts is urged to contact the Pemberton RCMP at 604-894-6604, their local police, or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
