Calgary man missing in Okanagan Lake near West Kelowna

A search is underway for a Calgary man who jumped from a boat into Okanagan Lake near West Kelowna today and didn’t resurface.

Police were called at around 3:45 p.m., June 17, about the incident near Squally Point south of Rattlesnake Island, according to an RCMP media release.

Oluwaseun Samson Adedeji, 34, was vacationing with friends, all of whom are from Calgary.

So far searchers, including an RCMP boat team, West Kelowna firefighters and volunteers with Central Okanagan Search and Rescue, haven’t found Adedeji.

RCMP say the search is ongoing.
