TRENDING NOW: Tigger the cat faces off with bear in B.C.

Bears have been very active in the B.C. this spring and summer with all kinds of human conflicts.

But this was an encounter of a different sort.

Gavin Sturrock of North Vancouver watched as his two-year-old Bengal cat named Tigger raised his hackles and stared down a bear.

The result: Cat 1 Bear 0
