Canada flag makes triumphant return outside Kelowna city hall

After announcing yesterday that a Canadian flag will not fly outside of Kelowna's city hall July 1, the city says repairs to the flag pole means it can fly high today.

"Temporary repairs have been made to the flag pole at city hall, meaning the Canadian flag will be on display this weekend," according to a press release from the city.

The city previously announced the flag wouldn't fly due to mechanical issues with the pole that wouldn't be fixed until next week.

The flag has been temporarily restored at the top of the mast but further work will be conducted on the pole next week, according to the city.
