
Police release picture of person of interest after latest suspicious fire
VERNON – Mounties are turning to the public to help them find a person of interest caught on camera after a fire was lit under a sherriff's car outside the Vernon courthouse last night.
It appears someone shoved a bag of garbage under the bumper and set it on fire at about 10:40 p.m. June 12. Firefighters were able to extinguish the fire before it caused significant damage.
Anyone with information can contact the Vernon RCMP at 250-545-7171 or remain anonymous by calling Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
