A batch of stronger than usual fentanyl is making the rounds in the South Okanagan and Interior Health has issued a warning.
The fentanyl, which is sold in beige chunks, contains no cuts or buffs, additives usually added to street drugs.
As a result, the risk of overdose and death is much higher.

Interior Health issued the drug alert yesterday, July 19, and it remains in effect until July 26.
The health authority warns uses to start low and go slow.
