Employee assaulted by man asked to leave Kamloops store

A retail worker was struck in the head last week after asking a man to leave a Kamloops store.

The employee was injured during the assault which was reported to police around 10 a.m., July 14.

Nearly two weeks later, Kamloops RCMP are now looking to the public to help identify the suspect and released a photo from the Hillside Drive store's surveillance footage.

The assault took place at a store on the 100-block of Hillside Drive, according to a news release.

The suspect is described as a Caucasian male, around 5'8" tall. At the time of the assault, he was wearing a blue hat with white writing, a green sleeveless shirt and black pants.
