iN PHOTOS: Beautiful morning in West Kelowna

West Kelowna photographer Dean Pratley captured these stunning photos around 6 a.m. on July 25. 

He captured about 50-60 shots that morning of the Gellatly Bay Waterfront and shared his favourite ones to social media for others to enjoy. 

The photos were taken 5 to 7 minutes apart and show a wide variety of changing colours in the sky that is reflected on the surface of the water.  

"I was sitting outside having a chai tea and I saw the sky line changing in colour so I went out to the deck with camera and tripod,” Pratley said. “I waited and it started to happen, every 15 seconds the colours of the sky would change pretty drastically. I chose the best photos taken only minutes apart and it looks like they could be from four different mornings.”

Pratley is a self-taught photographer who started the hobby eight months ago. He loves to share his photos with others who may not get out to the places he does.
