
Kamloops RCMP need help identifying body found in February
KAMLOOPS – People hiking in a wooded area off Rose Hill Road found the body of a man in February and now RCMP and the B.C. Coroners Service are asking for help in identifying him.
The body was found Feb. 21 in the area popular with hikers and dog-walkers. In a media release issued Thursday, April 2, the coroners service says the man is believed to have died 48 hours before his body wa found and foul play has been ruled out.
The man is described as an older Caucasian, about 6’ tall and 195 pounds with blue eyes. He was wearing a ‘Raising the Roof’ toque, a gray and brown Navajo-style patterned Wind River jacket, a black sweatshirt with ‘Talisman Energy’ on the right sleeve, a blue dress shirt, blue jeans, black rubber boots, black leather belt and a silver Timex watch.
Anyone with information regarding the identity of this man is asked to contact the coroners service at 250-861-7429, Kamloops RCMP at 250-828-3000 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS.
