Person dies after accident along Highway 3

A person died following an accident that caused a temporary closure along Highway 3 yesterday afternoon.

The incident was reported along the highway near the Sunday Summit Forest Service Road between Manning Park and Princeton, Aug. 6.

According to the B.C. RCMP, a motorcycle rider "left the roadway" and later died of their injuries. It was a single-vehicle, motorcycle incident.

The highway was reopened at 4:30 p.m. and at this time, criminality is not suspected, according to the RCMP.
