
Crews pull body from river near Kamloops airport
Emergency crews were called to the seaplane docks near the Kamloops airport after a body was found in the Thompson River Thursday morning.
Kamloops RCMP received a call from the public for a body found caught up in logs near the airport seaplane docks, spokesperson Cpl. Crystal Evelyn said in an emailed response.
Police called for the Kamloops Fire Rescue boat team around 8:40 a.m. today, Aug. 11, to help recover the body, assistant chief Darryl Cooper told iNFOnews.ca.
Evelyn said the body hasn't yet been identified and police will wait until the person's next of kin is notified.
B.C. Coroners Service are also on the scene, she said.
