122 pot plants seized downtown Vernon

A grow-op in the 2700 block of 17th St. has been busted.

Last Friday, the Vernon Task Force completed their investigation into a possible grow operation downtown Vernon.

"Our Officers seized 122 plants, and related equipment from the home," RCMP spokesperson Gord Molendyk said. Two people were arrested.

RCMP suspect the operation has been active for quite some time. "The smell from it was evident in the neighborhood," Molendyk said.

A 48-year-old woman is expected to be charged and will appear in court at a later date on charges of possession for the purposes of trafficking and production. The man has been released without charges at this time.
