Out of control fire burning near Lytton

The B.C. Wildfire Service is responding to wildfire located 20 kilometres northeast of Lytton that sparked last night, Sept. 4.

The fire is estimated at four hectares in size and classified as out of control.

Airtankers are responding with helicopters and ground personnel is en route. The fire is burning rank three, meaning an organized flame front and occasional candling with a moderate rate of spread.

It is suspected human cause and under investigation.
