B.C. nurse sanction for ‘diverting’ narcotics from workplace
A nurse in B.C. has been sanctioned after getting caught "diverting" narcotics from the workplace as well as being impaired on the job.
A notice of a consent agreement from the B.C. College of Nurses and Midwives doesn't name the nurse or their location of practice.

The decision from the college does say while the nurse was caught diverting narcotics from work and being impaired at work, they were determined to still be fit to practice through an independent medical assessment.
An independent medical assessment also documented a "health concern… related to the misconduct and which could impact the ability to provide safe patient care."
For the next four years, the nurse agreed to limit their practice in a way to prevent the "concerning" situations from happening again, provide regular reports from treating physicians to show they are complying with treatment recommendations and they have to disclose treatment recommendations to relevant employers.
