High temperatures of around 24 Celsius are forecast for today, Sept. 22, in Kamloops and the Okanagan, the first day of autumn.
While Environment Canada forecasts daytime high temperatures to drop a couple of degrees tomorrow, they are expected to climb back to 24 C in Kamloops, and 23 C in the Okanagan, by Sunday.
Temperatures as high as 27 C are forecast for Kamloops next week.
Normal high temperatures for this time of year are 20 C in Kamloops and 18 C in the Okanagan.
Overnight lows are also expected to be a couple of degrees above normal in Kamloops and the Okanagan, ranging from 8 C to 10 C. The skies are expected to be sunny most days with a mix of sun and cloud on Friday.
It is likely to be a bit windy with gusts up to 40 km/h today and Friday.
