Death of 72-year-old North Okanagan woman deemed suspicious: RCMP

Police are investigating the suspicious death of a 72-year-old Enderby woman who was found dead in her home.

RCMP received information about a deceased woman inside a residence in Enderby, Sunday, Sept. 25, according to a B.C. RCMP media release.

"Investigators believe that her death is suspicious," the statement said. "The investigation is in its preliminary stages, however, investigators believe that it was an isolated incident and that there is no risk to the public."

The investigation has been taken over by the RCMP's Southeast District Major Crime Unit.

No other information was provided in the media release.

Police are asking anyone with any information regarding the incident to call the Southeast District Major Crime Unit’s information line at 1-877-987-8477.
