VERNON – The RCMP have found themselves in possession of a quantity of stolen property after arresting a pair of “prolific” offenders.

Officers from the detachment’s Task Force believe the items are related to thefts or other related crimes.

“Our officers have searched through local files in attempts to identify the owners of this property however have been unsuccessful,” RCMP spokesperson Gord Molendyk says in a media release. “The investigating officers are asking residents who believe their electronics and jewelry has been recovered and is in our care to please call our office.”

There was also a small tool bag with some hand tools in it recovered.

Molendyk says officers are asking people have a file number for the theft they reported and be ready to have some way to identify the property either with a serial number or a photo.

It will speed up the process for the detachment’s staff and get the property returned to the right person as quickly as possible.
