Wanted man found and arrested in Lillooet
A man wanted out of Ontario was found and arrested in Lillooet earlier this week.
On Oct. 10 at 8 p.m. police officers found a black Dodge pickup truck with no insurance, plates or a driver parked in the middle of Texas Creek Road, according to a press release issued by the RCMP.
However, two passengers were sitting in the back seat and alleged the vehicle had broken down and the driver went to get a tow truck.
One of the passengers was a man who had an active warrant for his arrest out of Ontario. Police arrested him and transported him to cells and the Ontario Provincial Police was contacted, according to the RCMP.
The truck was towed off the road back to the registered owner’s home and the owner was served a $598 violation ticket for having no insurance under the Motor Vehicle Act, according to police.
