Rainfall on its way to the Okanagan and Kamloops
While Kamloops and the Okanagan can expect mostly sunny skies this week, cooler, wetter weather looks to be moving in by the weekend.

Overnight lows, according to the Environment Canada online forecast, are expected to be in the 5 C to 7 C range until the weekend.

Local smoke is expected in Kamloops today with widespread smoke forecast for Tuesday and Wednesday.
The outlook for the Okanagan is much the same, just a couple of degrees cooler and without the smoke.
The real change, after months of almost unbroken sunshine and very little rain, is a 60% chance of precipitation on Saturday.
The Environment Canada forecast is only for one week but AccuWeather’s outlook covers a much longer time frame.
It’s showing about an 85% chance of showers Saturday with a 55 to 65% likelihood of precipitation every day well into the following week.
The last significant rainfall in Kelowna was 17.4 millimetres on Aug. 22 while Kamloops had nine mm on Sept. 14 but only 11.5 mm for all of September.
There has been very little rain, other than thunderstorms, throughout the Thompson-Okanagan since June.
