Guns seized, suspect arrested during search of North Okanagan property

A man is facing a number of potential firearm-related charges after police seized guns while executing a search warrant at his North Okanagan property.

Yesterday, Oct. 27, Vernon North Okanagan RCMP officers executed a search warrant at a property in the 12000 block of Westside Road in Vernon, according to an RCMP news release.

Police found and seized a number of guns and ammunition from the home as part of an ongoing firearms-related investigation.

One person was arrested at the scene and was later released from custody.

A 55-year-old Vernon man is facing potential firearms related offences and is expected to appear in court at a later date, according to RCMP.

The police investigation is ongoing.
