Breezy weather tonight for trick-or-treaters in Kamloops, Okanagan

It’s expected to be unseasonably warm for all the little ghost and goblins out trick-or-treating in Kamloops and the Okanagan tonight, Oct. 31.

Kamloops is looking at a high of 14 Celsius today but winds could gust to 60 km/h this afternoon, according to Environment Canada’s online forecast.

The Okanagan is expected to be a degree or two cooler, with winds gusting up to 50 km/h and a 40% chance of showers in some locations.

Normal high temperatures for this time of year are in the 7-8 C range with lows down to 0 C.

The overnight low is expected to drop to just above freezing overnight tonight but plumet to -5 C to -6 C overnight Wednesday.

The colder weather could bring snow flurries later in the week, although high temperatures are forecast to fluctuate from 3 C on Thursday to 10 C Friday before dropping down a bit by next weekend.
