UPDATED: Four people sent to hospital with ‘serious injuries’ after Highway 5 crash

Four people were transported to the hospital with serious injuries but there were no fatalities in a multi-vehicle incident on Highway 5 northbound in Kamloops last night.

"There were three vehicles involved in the collision," said B.C. RCMP. "Impaired driving is not believed to have been a factor, it is suspected there was a medical cause."

The accident originally occurred between CN Junction Road and Devick Road last night, Nov. 5, according to Drive B.C., closing lanes in both directions.

The lanes were then open to alternating traffic around midnight.

DriveB.C. reported the incident has been cleared this morning at around 9 a.m.
