Person with burn injuries taken to hospital after building catches fire in Kamloops

One person was taken to hospital with burn injuries after a fire broke out at a mini storage facility in Kamloops this afternoon.

Four fire engines, RCMP and ambulance services responded to the fire around 2 p.m. at the Cllementum mini storage facility at 48 West Victoria St., Nov. 6.

“It was a small fire and it was out before we got there,” said platoon captain with Kamloops Fire Rescue Ken Hartt.

“There was one victim lying on the ground outside.”

The burn victim was transported to hospital and no one else was injured in the incident.

The cause of the fire has not yet been determined.
