PIECE OF HISTORY: City giving away some Penticton Ironman banners

You could have your own keepsake banner to remember the return of the Ironman race to Penticton this year.

The City of Penticton is handing out Ironman Canada banners for free, but supply is limited, and it asks you not resell them.

Community members can apply on the City's website or call city hall to get one of four Ironman banners, which will be given out on a first-come, first-service basis, according to a City of Penticton media release issued today, Nov. 14. They're limited to one per household.

After 2012, the race moved to Whistler for eight years. It was expected to return in 2020, but then it was cancelled twice due to the COVID pandemic.
