Two men spotted near suspicious van fire in Kamloops

A mini van fire in North Kamloops last night has been deemed suspicious by RCMP and the fire department.

RCMP officers got to the scene around 9:20 p.m., Nov. 21, where firefighters were dousing the engulfed blue mini van, according to a Kamloops RCMP media release.

Police are now looking for witnesses and video footage of the blaze, which may started around 8:45 p.m. in a parking lot on the 100 block of Tamarack Avenue.

“Two men were noted in the area around the time; one was described as shorter and bald in a white undershirt, the other as having a buzz cut, grey sweater, and facial hair," Kamloops RCMP spokesperson Cpl. Crystal Evelyn said in the release.

Anyone who witnessed or has information or video related to this ongoing investigation can contact the Kamloops RCMP Detachment at 250-828-3000 and reference file 2022-41689.
