Penticton prolific offender isn’t just in trouble for bear spray incident

A Penticton man is facing charges for four separate incidents that occurred within less than two months of each other.

Levi Jo Kamps, born 1997, was arrested last week after he allegedly bear sprayed a man who caught him rummaging through his vehicle.

According to court records, Kamps is also charged with theft under $5,000 from 64 days ago, two counts of theft under $5,000 and assault from 50 days ago and mischief under $5,000 from 36 days ago.

When the RCMP arrested him after the bear spray incident – it was for assault with a weapon, theft under $5,000 and possession of stolen property.

Court records show numerous other files related to Kamps dating back to July 2017. 

He remains in custody and is due back in court Dec. 21.
