Man defecating in downtown Kamloops parking lot arrested by police

A Kamloops Mountie interrupted a man while he was defecating in a downtown parking lot on Friday evening.

An officer was patrolling the 400 block of Lansdowne Street at around 7:40 p.m., Nov. 25, when he spotted a man "attempting to defecate on the ground," according to an RCMP media release.

"The officer interrupted the activity and upon further investigation, discovered the man to be intoxicated and acting erratically," the release reads.

The man was taken into custody for drug possession and mischief, and turned out to be wanted on a warrant out of Merritt for breaching his conditions.

RCMP said he was given a court date related to the warrant.
