Incredible Hulk Lou Ferrigno meeting with fans in Okanagan

The Incredible Hulk will be taking photos and signing autographs for fans in Kelowna on Friday night.

It won’t be Mark Ruffalo or Edward Norton coming to town – but rather the original live-action Hulk – Lou Ferrigno, a burly man who played the role of the green and angry Bruce Banner from 1977 to 1982. The calm, non-green version of Banner was played by Bill Bixby.

Barker Street Cinema is hosting the event at the Kelowna Film Studio. The venue is being used for Santa photos the same day so fans will be meeting Ferrigno at a holiday-inspired set, according to a media release.

"Kelowna Film Studios is honoured to host Lou Ferrigno at our studio, a man who entertained millions for generations,” studios owner James Alton said in the release. “We hope the community enjoys this opportunity for photos, autographs and laughter."

Fans may also recognize Ferrigno from his appearances on King of Queens, I Love You Man and Celebrity Apprentice. He is also a two-time champion of the Mr. Universe bodybuilding competition.

The meet-and-greet will be happening at 1516 Keehn Rd. from 1:30 to 6 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 9. Autographs and selfies cost $60 each or $100 for both, or have a professional take the photo for $80. Tickets can be purchased through this link.

Ferrigno is also scheduled to be part of an expensive tasting experience in Kelowna this month.
