Two suspected drug dealers busted in Kelowna

Kelowna RCMP arrested a pair of suspected drug dealers and seized a large quantity of drugs and some weapons this past weekend.

An officer of patrol on Harvey Avenue spotted a car with a burnt out bulb and a licence plate hanging from a single screw on Sunday, Dec. 11, according to an RCMP media release. RCMP do not say what time of day the incident happened.

The officer pulled over the red 2008 Mazda 3 when a search of the licence plate showed the owner was female and the two people in the car were male.

Backup was called when the officer saw drug paraphernalia in the vehicle.

Both men in the car, who were well known to police, were arrested.

A search of vehicle turned up 105.5 grams of fentanyl, 67.4 grams of methamphetamines, 7.5 grams of ketamine, 16.9 grams of morphine, GHB and lorazepam, along with a replica air soft pistol, an axe, a knife and a scale.

While RCMP say the suspects arrested, they don’t say what charges if any they face, or if they’re in custody.
