One down, one to go in Kelowna manhunt

One of two brothers wanted in connection with the November 2021 Okanagan Rail Trail beating in Kelowna is now in custody.

Justin Radis and his brother Kyle, both in their 20s, are charged in connection with a vicious assault that sent a 17-year-old Kelowna male to hospital with serious injuries including broken ribs and nose.

The accused are also alleged to have stolen the man's shoes and bicycle.

Last week, the Radis brothers were charged with robbery and aggravated assault.

They were due to appear in court last week, but failed to show up.

Justin is facing a separate charge of assault with a weapon relating to another incident in Kelowna — months after the November 2021 attack.

RCMP have confirmed to iNFOnews.ca that Justin is now custody.

"Just now I can confirm that Justin is in custody but Kyle is still outstanding," Kelowna RCMP spokesperson Const. Mike Della-Paolera said.

Justin's first court appearance on the assault with a weapon charge was this morning.
