
Alberta man’s body found floating in Okanagan River
DEATH DEEMED SUSPICIOUS
OKANAGAN FALLS – The death of an Alberta man, whose body was found floating in the channel on the southern outskirts of Okanagan Falls Friday morning, had been deemed suspicious by the RCMP.
The body of a 24-year-old man was recovered from the Okanagan River by swift water rescue technicians from Penticton and Oliver Search and Rescue.
Const. Kris Clark says an autopsy will be performed early next week to determine the cause of death.
Officers from the RCMP Southeast District Major Crimes Unit and Penticton RCMP detachment are investigating the death.
Police aren’t releasing the man’s identity until his family are notified.
