Thousands Boogie the Bridge

KAMLOOPS – The annual Boogie the Bridge fun walk or run is another huge success.

Thousands of people ran, walked, biked, roller bladed or pushed strollers Sunday morning on the course which included the Overlanders Bridge.

For the more serious athletes, they could run the 5 km or 10 km courses or a 21 km half marathon.

The Boogie the Bridge event, which not only gets people outside in the fresh air for some exercise, it raises money for two Kamloops charities.

This year the Canadian Mental Health Association’s Youth Clubhouse and the Kamloops Family Resources Society's Family Tree Family Centre will benefit.

No word yet on how much money was raised as organizers count up the donations.

Have a look at some of the pictures posted to social media during the event.
