Another armed robbery in Kamloops
KAMLOOPS — Kamloops RCMP are now investigating a fifth armed robbery in the city and a suspect got away again.
Police say around 6 p.m. a man carrying a knife entered the M&M Meat shop at 1203 Summit Dr. and robbed two female clerks. The employees were uninjured. The offender left the shop and tossed some clothing and the knife, and left the area on foot, says Sgt. Michael Buxton-Carr. Police attempted to contain the area and used a police dog team to search, but got nothing.
The suspect is described as a young adult man, slim, Caucasian, who wore a blue hooded winter coat, a blue and white bandana, and baggy blue jeans. The blue jacket was recovered by police near M&M Meat Shop.
Police have said very little about four other armed robberies at McCleaners on the North Shore, the Adultz sex shop, and two other downtown locations not specified by the RCMP.
Anyone with information about this crime or the offender is asked to contact the Kamloops RCMP Detachment at (250) 828-3000 or Crimestoppers at (800) 222-TIPS.
