Victims of theft: Penticton police might have your stuff
Penticton and Summerland RCMP are looking for the owners of items they believe came from local break and enters.
Police stopped a vehicle carrying suspects wanted on a warrant Feb. 3 and seized a duffle bag full of various items they suspected may have been stolen. A Victorian brooch has already been returned to its owner in Penticton, but investigators haven't located the owners of other items found in the bag.
Items include:
- Coin collection containing a variety of coins from Europe, Africa, Canada and U.S.
- Variety of small antiques
- Comic book collection stored in photo album
- Hockey card collection
Police are asking anyone who has been a victim of a break and enter in the Penticton area who could possibly be the owner of anything on the list or who may have information on the owners to call Penticton RCMP Drug Task Force at 250-492-4300.
