Sun expected to shine for Mother’s Day.
THOMPSON-OKANAGAN – Mr. Golden Sun will be a welcome guest this Sunday morning when moms across the Thompson-Okanagan are waking up to smiling children carrying trays of breakfast delights to wish them a Happy Mother's Day.
For those who like to help mom with a bit of gardening or yard work, the weather is predicted to warm, but not too warm.
Friday night through to Saturday morning could be wet and clammy in Kamloops, with a 40 per cent chance of showers and a high of 8 Celsius, but the clouds will part and the sun will shine Saturday afternoon, bringing temperatures up to 17 C. The sun and warmth continue on to Sunday with a high of 20 C expected.
Kelowna can expect much of the same, with a 60 per cent risk of showers on Saturday and a high of 15 C. Sunday will be sunny with a high of 18 C.
Penticton and Vernon will score the same expected statistics, with a 60 per cent chance of rain on Saturday followed by sun and a high of 18 C on Sunday.
All regions will receive sun and warm temperatures Monday, with temperatures in the high teens.
