Rockets lose to Victoria; can win at home

VICTORIA – The Victoria Royals defeated the Kelowna Rockets 5-4 in overtime on Wednesday night in Victoria, extending the team's 2nd round WHL playoff series to a fifth game.

Greg Chase scored the game winning goal 5:30 into overtime to give the Royals the win, completing a comeback as the Rockets led 4-2 heading to the third period.

Lucas Johansen, Tyson Baillie, Tomas Soustal and Rourke Chartier scored for the Rockets who jumped out with three first period goals to take a 3-1 lead after the first.

The Rockets outshot Victoria 40-32 but were unable to connect on the power play, going 0-for-8 with the man advantage.

Jackson Whistle took the loss in the Kelowna net.

The Rockets now hold a 3-1 series lead with game five set for Friday night at Prospera Place in Kelowna.
