KAMLOOPS – The Thompson-Nicola Regional District’s Library System is hosting a free workshop called Poetry for the Terrified at the Kamloops Library, Saturday April 18, 2 p.m.
The workshop will be hosted by Okanagan writer Michelle Barker, who will do her best to demystify poetry as she examines the nuts and bolts of stanzas and lines. Participants will write and read poems, including their own, and exercises will include haiku and free verse poems.
All skeptics are welcome. Some previous writing experience would be an asset but is not required, and participants should come prepared to write.
The event is free but sign-up is recommended. Please contact the library at 250-372-5145 to reserve a spot.
