Kelowna firefighters put out small blaze

KELOWNA – Firefighters made quick work of an early morning gazebo fire in Kelowna.

Crews were called to a fire in an out building on a property in the 2800-block of Fenwick Road near Scandia Golf and Games at around 3:30 a.m., April 26.

Platoon Capt. John F. Kelly says in a media release, the gazebo was fully involved and several cedar trees were on fire.

“The fire was quickly knocked down with no extension to any adjacent buildings or property,” Kelly says in the release.

No one was hurt.

The cause of fire is under investigation, but it isn’t suspicious in nature.
